Learn to turn environmental evidence into action.

The Climate Sentinel Fellowship puts you inside an independent research institute's way of working: start from satellite and field data, build analysis you can defend, and take it to the people who make decisions.

Atmospheric CO₂ at Mauna Loa, 1958 to 2026. Fellows learn to read records like this one.

Climate Sentinel Foundation is an independent, non-profit research institute working across climate, water, biodiversity, and the circular economy. The fellowship opens that work to students, graduates, job seekers, career changers, and early-career professionals who want hands-on experience, not another lecture series.

Fellowship work draws on our four programmes: Water Security & Hydrology, Biodiversity & Conservation, Waste & Circular Economy, and Climate Impact & Adaptation. You don't need a sustainability background. You need curiosity about real data and the patience to check it.

What you'll take away

  • Working knowledge of climate, water, biodiversity, and waste systems
  • Hands-on practice with open environmental data and satellite observation
  • Experience turning analysis into briefs that partners and policymakers can use
  • Mentoring from sustainability practitioners and researchers
  • Career and interview preparation for ESG, consulting, renewable energy, and conservation roles
  • A cohort of peers and a professional network
  • Certificate of Fellowship

How fellows work

We run the fellowship the way we run our research, in four steps.

  1. Measure. Gather and verify primary environmental data, from satellite scenes to field records.
  2. Analyze. Turn raw data into findings, models, and scenarios you can defend.
  3. Convene. Bring scientists, communities, and decision-makers around the evidence.
  4. Act. Support real implementation and report the outcome openly.
